PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR)- The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality has approved the construction of 26.1 miles of pipeline though Pittsylvania County.

The permit allows Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) to construct a 30-inch diameter natural gas pipeline through a predetermined area. The total project, 31.3 miles of pipeline, includes 5.2 miles of pipeline in Rockingham County, North Carolina. Once complete, the pipeline will serve as an interconnection point with East Tennessee Natural Gas, LLC.
