TeamCare Board of Trustees Announces Plan Amendments Regarding Coronavirus Outbreak
The Board of Trustees of TeamCare has been closely monitoring the impact of the global outbreak of the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). Our hearts go out to our members and their families, local unions, and employers that have been impacted by this unprecedented crisis.
The Board of Trustees has approved Plan amendments in light of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. These include waiving cost-sharing for both testing and treatment of COVID-19 through Dec. 31, 2020, and continuing coverage for up to 8 weeks for members who are laid off due to COVID-19 between March 1 and Dec. 31, 2020.
These Plan amendments are detailed in the three Special Bulletins linked below. The health and safety of our members, as well as the security of having continued healthcare coverage, is the first concern of the Board of Trustees and staff during this crisis. This is a rapidly evolving situation that we will continue to monitor.
